Cinematic ambient track featuring three patches from Falcon Scapes Vol3 – plenty of Macro and modulation wheel action, some volume automation and a limiter on the master output.
Improvising live on video with a soundscape from the upcoming sound library Falcon Singles – Falcon Scapes Vol3 coming soon on patchpool.net, tweaking the available Macros and the modulation wheel on the fly.

Hi, Is there a way to have a different midi channel for different layers or keygroups in a part?
Use multis, one hierarchy level above programs, there you can assign different Midi channels per program.
Please read this:
and this:
I assume there is a Layer Rule active, maybe assigned to key-switching layers or a different rule, so check if there is a layer rule active and edit it accordingly.
In the old MachFive granular engine which was also ported over to Falcon I remember this behaviour, caused by the shape of the grains always fading in, that was the first thing I complained about during Alpha-testing Falcon. But in Falcon’s new multi-granular engine this behaviour of grains fading in can be solved by shaping the grains with the two available parameters.
THANK YOU! Using modulation mappers for each LFO on/off works. I have currently assigned the possition knob to five LFOs with different shapes, and can switch between them using a single macro. So when the on/off button of for example LFO 3 is assigned to the macro, and the modmapper range 55-76 is set to 1, the macro turns the LFO on when it reaches the corresponding values, and turns it off when it reaches a point outside that range. Again – thanks a lot!
Yes indeed, I figured that out a little later at around 5 am in the morning :), glad we found a solution!
I am getting somewhere switching three LFOs on and off with a single Macro using Modmappers, but haven’t yet exactly achieved what you’re looking for.
Welcome to the forum!
Maybe modulation mappers could do the job, but just thinking about it hasn’t brought me to a solution yet, I need to be in fort of Falcon in order to try this. I would probably just use key-switches and switch between layers, the other layers could remain un-switched and only the layer with the granular oscillators would be affected by the key-switches. One can also script the key-switches so that they become available in the user interface. But maybe it can be done with a single Macro.
Here are some great videos showing Falcon in combination with LinnStrument and some of my Falcon patches:
No, neither of those.
Have you tried the UVI Wide plugin, with width set to full negative?
Here is another video for Falcon Singles – Water Bells, demonstrating the patch Double Bell RR4-7, some Macro automation and modulation wheel action.
Two instances of UVI Falcon using two patches from Water Bells, some Macro and modulation wheel action, 100% Falcon.
Here is another track using two instances of Falcon with two patches from Water Bells, some Macro and modulation wheel action in both instances, 100% Falcon:
Five instances of UVI Falcon using presets from the upcoming sound library Falcon Singles – Water Bells, some Macro and modulation wheel action, 100% Falcon.
Great work Simon! Love the flute and Diffuse sounds very nice and smooth too… Cheers, Tom
Cheers, Tom!
Improvising with the patch “Gliss Bells” from the upcoming library Falcon Singles – Water Bells, 2x round robin water bells, the glissando in the bell samples is caused by dipping the bell into water after the attack, some occasional water drops, the patch is running in multi-granular mode.
